Windows Server prerequisites

On Windows Server, the “Desktop Experience” feature must be installed: the Server Core installations do not include the multimedia components required by DirectShow.

Supported: Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019 and 2016, installed with the Desktop Experience feature.

This applies to all the Datastead products: TVideoGrabber, the RTSP/RTMP/HTTP/ONVIF Source Filter, the Multipurpose DirectShow Encoder, the NDI Filters and the GenICam Vision Source (64-bit only).
