MultipurposeEncoder_ReindexClip

function

Delphi
function MultipurposeEncoder_ReindexClip (CurrentFileName: string; NewFileName: string): Boolean;
C++Builder
bool __fastcall MultipurposeEncoder_ReindexClip(System::UnicodeString CurrentFileName, System::UnicodeString NewFileName);
C#
public bool MultipurposeEncoder_ReindexClip(string CurrentFileName, string NewFileName);
VB.NET
Public Function MultipurposeEncoder_ReindexClip(CurrentFileName As String, NewFileName As String) As Boolean
C++/Qt
BOOL MultipurposeEncoder_ReindexClip (wchar_t *CurrentFileName, wchar_t *NewFileName);

Reindexes the video clip specified by CurrentFileName and produces a new video clip specified by NewFileName. The reindexing is performed without recompressing the video stream, so the process is quite fast.

The function is not specific to MP4: it can reindex MKV, AVI or other formats. It is useful when seeking in a video clip is slow.

It is possible to determine if an MP4 video clip needs reindexing by invoking MP4NeedsReindexing.

E.g.:

SourceFileName = "c:_clip_to_analyze.mp4";

NewFileName := "c:_video_clip.mp4";

if (VideoGrabber->MP4NeedsReindexing (SourceFileName)) {

VideoGrabber->MultipurposeEncoder_ReindexClip (SourceFileName, NewFileName);
