HoldRecording

property

Delphi
property HoldRecording: Boolean read GetHoldRecording write SetHoldRecording;
C++Builder
__property bool HoldRecording = {read=GetHoldRecording, write=SetHoldRecording, nodefault};
C#
public bool HoldRecording { get; set; }
VB.NET
Public Property HoldRecording As Boolean
C++/Qt
BOOL GetHoldRecording ();
void SetHoldRecording (BOOL Value);

Starts the recording in preview mode and holds back the start of video file writing.

When HoldRecording is set to true before calling StartRecording, the recording graph is built and started in preview mode. Then, as soon as ResumeRecording is invoked, the writing to the video file begins.

When calling StartRecording directly without using HoldRecording, a few seconds are necessary to build the recording graph, so it is not possible to have the video file start at the moment when StartRecording was called.

By enabling HoldRecording before calling StartRecording, the recording is started in preview mode, and the video file writing begins exactly when ResumeRecording is invoked.

After invoking StartRecording, the OnRecordingReadyToStart event occurs to signal that it is possible to invoke ResumeRecording to start the recording. From this event, the recording can be cancelled by invoking StopRecording.
