GenICam Vision Source 1.1.6 is available. This new DirectShow video capture source filter exposes any GenICam / GenTL compliant camera (USB3 Vision, GigE Vision) as a standard Windows video capture device, usable from the TVideoGrabber SDK or from any DirectShow application.

Datastead GenICam Vision Source, like a webcam: OBS Studio, VLC, ffmpeg, AMCap, GraphStudioNext, recording, streaming and conferencing tools see it without any vendor SDK or viewer (workstation license). - Generic GenTL consumer: talks to the camera through the vendor’s GenTL producer (
.cti) installed with the camera driver, e.g. Vimba X for Allied Vision cameras. - Pixel formats delivered to the graph: RGB24 (on-board debayering), Y800 (Mono8), UYVY (YCbCr422_8) or raw RGGB Bayer, with an Auto mode picking the best format the camera supports.
- ROI, binning, exposure and gain (manual or auto), frame rate, white balance, gamma, hue, saturation, sharpness, brightness and contrast; free-run, software or hardware trigger.
- Camera control through the property pages, the standard
IAMCameraControl/IAMVideoProcAmpinterfaces, or theIGenicamControl/IGenicamControl2COM interfaces (any GenICam feature by name). Settings persisted per camera. - Windows 10/11 x64 (64-bit host application and GenTL producer). Fully functional evaluation version with a watermark.
- Two licenses: the royalty-free developer license (EUR 950) for applications built with the TVideoGrabber SDK or DirectShow, the key being passed by the application; the workstation license (EUR 180 per PC, EUR 680 for 5 PCs, EUR 1,080 for 10 PCs), a license file copied on the PC (no activation, no internet access), to use the camera from OBS Studio, VLC, ffmpeg or any other DirectShow application without writing code.
