Datastead licenses are royalty-free developer licenses. The licensed products never expire and keep working for the lifetime of the license, with no limit on the number of end users of the applications built with them. The GenICam Vision Source is also available as a per-PC workstation license, for use without any application of your own.
Each license includes 2 years of e-mail support, upgrades and new versions, downloadable from the customer account. After 2 years, support and upgrades can be renewed for a further 2-year period at 50% of the license price, with the same multi-product discount, directly from the Licenses & Downloads tab of your customer account. Existing customers also get 20% off any additional product or developer license, ordered from the same tab (the higher of the multi-product and existing customer discounts applies).
Products are delivered electronically: the account details, license keys and download links are e-mailed as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually the same day for credit card and PayPal payments. Purchase orders from established companies are accepted; contact us for a quotation.
Note: the license is issued to the company that publishes the application. A contractor must order it in the client company’s name (one license per client), and may place the order on the client’s behalf.

Workstation licenses (GenICam Vision Source)
To use a GenICam / GenTL camera from OBS Studio, VLC, ffmpeg or any other DirectShow application without writing code, the GenICam Vision Source is also sold as a workstation license: a license file copied once on the PC, no activation, no internet access. One license per PC, 2 years of updates and e-mail support included. An application built with the TVideoGrabber SDK or DirectShow and redistributed to end users needs the developer license above.
